A summary of 2020

So this year hasn’t quite gone to plan. Our dream Caribbean cruise was cancelled that we had planned for over a year, due to the start of Covid-19 Lockdown.

As lockdown started to ease we realised we wouldn’t be able to go anywhere too exotic this year so we booked a nice 10 day break to the south of France where there had been a travel corridor introduced. A couple of weeks before we were due to fly it was announced you would have to quarantine when you get back and then a few days before we were due to go there were rumours they may introduce quarantine when you get there so we couldn’t take that risk and cancelled it! So here comes the stress!

Before cancelling France we found flights to Faro, Portugal, that had just been put back onto the travel corridor list, and found a beautiful villa to stay in. We cancelled France went to book the flights and guess what... completely sold out for the dates that we wanted to go. We found alternative flights but they were triple the price.

Back to the drawing board!

So after a stressful day of cancelling France, the flight to Portugal selling out and the hunt for somewhere we could go without quarantining when arriving home.. we finally booked Pathos, Cyprus! Covid-19 test booked for today, cases are packed and we are set to go! Hopefully without anymore hiccups!
