Coco Southend

For my birthday weekend, my beautiful friend (who I made on holiday in Jamaica) Jodie came down from Coventry to check out the new venue that had just opened in Southend-on-Sea. Coco is a brand new burlesque/cabaret venue and we were so excited to check it out!

We decided to go for the package where we got our show ticket, 2 house drinks and a ‘meat platter’ for £35 which I found very reasonable! The portion sizes were huge and we couldn’t even finish all of the food. On the meat platter we got a meaty pizza, dough balls, chicken strips, sausages and a beef skewer which was really nice! They also have a fish or vegetarian option too so there is something for everyone!

We met out 2 of my best friends Kate and Brooke who joined us to watch the show and have a dance after. The show its self was brilliant. The compare ‘Des O’Connor’ was great, he kept us entertained, laughing and his cabaret songs were fantastic! The dancers worked hard to put on a top class show and the Friday night show constists of full on burlesque dancing and a contortionist dancer which was fascinating to watch! As it is still new the venue itself wasn’t massively busy but we had a great night! Myself and Jodie were even pulled up on stage to learn some of the moves which was hilarious!

I would recommend this venue if you want a night out with friends that’s a little bit different!
